Hi, Sit down restaurants are operated by many personnel. The staff is varied, being composed by managers, chefs, all the way down to the bus-boys and hosts. The people that run the show as far as your time inside the restaurant are the waiting staff. The waiters/waitresses always greet you with a smile and hospitality as they place your orders, bring your food to the table, and take time to constantly see if your drink needs refilling or to see if there is anything else that they can do to satisfy you. The best waiters are the ones that makes themselves comfortable to talk to and depend upon. It's like a relationship as soon as you sit down at the table, and it's the waiters job to make themselves feel reliable to depend upon. I consider myself fairly polite at the table as a customer. Small things like saying "Thank You" when the waiter refills my drink, and not being afraid to exchange small talk help attribute with the relationship that we develop over the time of the meal. There is one thing, however, that I fill kills the relationship almost instantly. It's the awkwardness of when I actually do need anything from the waiter, and the waiter is no where in sight.
